A SEA OF COOKIES

On March 1, 2008 Weathervane Seafoods, Inc. Distribution Center was up to its claws in Girl Scout Cookies. For the 4th year in a row the Girl Scouts of Maine have depended on Weathervane to donate time, space and manpower to assure a successful cookie drive.
Mistee Sutcliff supervised the delivery of this years batch, which was delivered in a 53-foot tractor-trailer and consisted of over 35,000 boxes of cookies. A grand total of over 1 million individual cookies.
Mistee said I cant imagine the work it takes to move all those cookies if you dont have a place like Weathervane to help. In the past cookies have been delivered to schools or community centers but the cookies were then unloaded by hand. At Weathervanes distribution center the truck pulls right up to the loading dock and the Weathervane staff takes over the unloading with a fork lift.
