“The food was great, the service very friendly and the price was great for the quantity of food. The seafood was some of the best we had in Brewer/Bangor. While this is a chain restaurant it felt like a family-owned and operated restaurant. We have eaten there several times and tried different dishes, all of them tasted great and were well prepared. I will definitely go back if I am in the area again.”

“Weathervane is a small chain of Maine restaurants that specialize in seafood and a casual Down East atmosphere. Comfortable rather than fancy. The food is quite good, the service excellent as well as friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. The Lobster dinner they offer on Thursdays is a twin lobster dinner that they give a great discount on and they call it Wicked Cheap Twins – lol.  Highly recommended.”

“I am NOT a fan of “chain” restaurants, however, for what it is, Weathervane gets it right each and every time. My husband and I normally share a seafood platter, and for lunch, the smaller of their two seafood platters is just fine, although there is only one piece of haddock, so you have to split it. Seafood (clams, haddock, shrimp, scallops) is well breaded (not too much), and fried crispy, but yet still tender. Fries are good. Prices are excellent and I have paid a lot more, elsewhere, for no better food. Bravo Weathervane.”

“Best Restaurant in Brewer!!! Seafood mostly but something for everyone. prices arn’t bad they have lunch specials that are about $7-$8 and you get a good amount of food i go here about one every two weeks”
